  • P.S I don't like this line of thinking very much for a few reasons however. It implies we exist in a simulation but at some level there must be a "base" reality of "non simulated" people. How this base reality came into existence goes unexplained. It's ultimately this explanation we are seeking and "location" of where we are doing our reasoning (inside or outside of a simulation) doesn't help you with this explanation apart from adding an extra level of abstraction / indirection.
