Capirca setup for routed Ganeti VMs
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I've noticed that in the output of the Capirca script in Netbox sretest2005 is a bit different than the others:

  1. Its host definition uses the FQDN instead of the hostname: sretest2005.codfw.wmnet = 10.192.24.3 # sretest2005.codfw.wmnet and has only the IPv4 and not the IPv6
  1. It generates a group named sretest.codfw.wmnet_group = sretest2005.codfw.wmnet and the host is not part of the existing sretest_group group.

I think that this is caused by the fact that the related IP in Netbox has a role VIP with a /32 and is not attached to any VM, also because right now I can't find any sretest2005 VM. So maybe that's the reason of this different behaviour.
