There are loop-holes for instance, you could marry into the BPO industry and make it legitimate that way too. - A question I think about, is getting married to Filipina worth around 30k per week and putting her whole family to work worth it for me? Ugh…I feel like there is bigger fish to fry… If you’re a large enterprise and you want to expand into their small countries that comes with an annual fee and a ton of labor laws. The point I’m trying to make is that it’s tricky to make money legally and with little headaches as possible too. Full time lawyers in Manila can range from 1-5k USD per month for full time services. Labor laws are much stricter as well so staying profitable & legal simultaneously is important too! As a result, many capable individuals, despite having the necessary skills and potential, are unable to secure employment due to their educational backgrounds not meeting these stringent requirements. This situation has driven many Filipinos to seek opportunities in the virtual assistant (VA) industry, where they can leverage their talents and hone their skills to serve international clients. International clients often value the practical skills and individual capabilities of their VAs over formal academic credentials, leading to a more inclusive and merit-based employment environment. Consequently, these individuals often earn significantly more—sometimes up to ten times what they would in a local job—highlighting a stark contrast in the valuation of skills between local and international job markets. The success stories of Filipino VAs underscore the need for a paradigm shift in how local companies assess and utilize talent. The root of this issue lies in two main areas: the Philippine education system and the hiring practices of local companies. The education system does not adequately equip students with the practical skills and training required by modern job markets. Furthermore, local companies exacerbate this problem by not providing sufficient on-the-job training, instead relying heavily on formal educational qualifications as a primary hiring criterion.
