Bring the local fine dining experience into your own home by ordering from these East Bay establishments.Our local businesses need our support more than ever and ordering delivery/takeout is one of the best ways we can help them out during this time. *This is an ever-changing situation and our business owner community has been taking quick action in accordance to orders from Mayor Garcetti and Governor Newsom. "I'm so glad that Rivoli is open for business. We ordered take out tonight and really enjoyed and appreciated every bite. The quality is even better than prior to pandemic.. soufflé was creamy yet full of texture, the crab cake was favorable with a hint of coconut and lemongrass, finally, the chicken was tender and juicy.. "What a great little find -- they both offer the normal restaurant experience for sit down or pickup, and a front-of-store market where some of their dishes are pre-prepared for sale to heat up at home. "I've been going here regularly for the past couple of years. The food is delicious and I've never had difficulties with service as some suggest. All of the servers are friendly and efficient. My favorites are the pork chop, the roast chicken, and of course the pizzas for which they are known. Desserts have been excellent lately, especially the chocolate cake. The takeout during the shelter in place has been great. I love to get the burrata with a bottle of rosé, the meatballs, a salad and a pizza for our little family to share. They've just opened up some outside tables with dividers between them. Such a luxury to eat at a restaurant again. I am grateful." - Kay T

"We just finished one of the best dinners ever. And the experience of ordering and pickup during this time of Covid19 was easy, safe and efficient. We had the marinated sea bass which came with grilled asparagus, roasted mushroom caps and greens,; the kale Caesar salad was also excellent. An old co-worker and I met over lunch on a Monday and split a few items: - Sashimi salad: the fish was so fresh and delicious. It's like a colorful work of art - Unagi donburi: this was the highlight for me. I dare say this might be the best unagi I've ever had! It's served with seaweed seasoned rice and 2 pieces of tamago. - Their hamachi Kama fish on special: really tasty! Perfectly cooked. The 3 items were perfect for 2 people. Our server was really friendly and our food came out promptly. It was really busy the Monday we went, but luckily it was sunny so their outdoor seating was open. I would come back for sure.

Take 10% off takeout! "We wanted a special anniversary dinner to eat inside. That meant take out, and we wanted steak. Skates on the Bay really made our day! We picked up food at 6:30 pm and it was clearly freshly prepared. The Bibb Lettuce and Pt. Reyes Bleu Cheese salad was sparkling fresh with beautiful lettuce leaves, lots of bleu cheese and crunchy pecans. The Wagyu Beef dinner was cooked to order, medium rare, and juicy, tender. We also split an open faced artichoke and crab sandwich and it was super yummy, warm and so good. Thanks Skates! I'm glad we gave you a try." - Rachel C -
"While SIP I was looking for a special restaurant to get fancy takeout to celebrate anniversary dinner. Carlos was amazing and created a beautiful dinner for us within the same day. We had Mixto, Pescado, Chicharron, Pulpitos a la parrilla, Lomo Saltado, Chupe de Camarones and Plato de fondo vegetariano. It was a special feast. He plated the dishes nicely in to-go boxes so that I can transfer them to home plates easily. The Peruvian food was fantastic as when we had it in person. "This restaurant is one you will want to recommend to all of your family and friends. It's definitely one of the few restaurants we dine at regularly. Delicious seafood and small plates make for a fun and delicious meal. And let me just say that I can't even begin to describe how delicious their empanadas are! The corn empanada is my absolute favorite and crave worthy! They have a delicious sweet bite for dessert, it's a shortbread type cookie with a caramel filling in the middle. Delicious!" - Susan T

"My son and I splurged tonight and ordered takeout from The Wolf. (I've been cooking in for weeks, with no break.) We ordered the Roasted Chicken for 2, with potatoes, brussels sprouts and amazing sauces. And olive bread + fresh green side salad. Everything was AMAZING!!!! We ate it too fast, it was so good. Taking a break before we dig into the fruit bread pudding later. Some 'to go' food loses it's luster when you take it home, but this was perfect. Sam was super friendly and professional. "Take-out dining from Pappo tonight was the highlight of our day! Food was fresh with the usual quality ingredients. Started with mushroom soup and butter lettuce salad. Entrees were JP Salmon filet with a fragrant chimichirri sauce and pasta Bolognese. Bread pudding with caramel sauce to share for dessert. Portions were generous and easy to heat and plate. Pre-paid by phone and our meal was delivered curbside with a smile and a heartfelt "thank you." Candlelight dinner for two at home!" - Claudia P -

"ESIN is a family favorite and even during this crazy pandemic - their food shines through! Burgers for the whole family- which were cooked perfectly medium! Fries that make everyone and anyone happy, and dessert. So much dessert. Everything is better with salted caramel sauce and fresh whip cream. Major bonus - their Ginger Pear Martini can be ordered for take out and it is AWESOME! They even include a tag with how to best serve it and they include cinnamon sticks to garnish! "If by chance you are reading this review during the quarantine days and considering Mago as a pick up or taken out option stop your thought process and order. They have got it down. The balance of creative cooking and value, both vegetarian and not is just not beatable. I am an above average cook at home but I miss food prepared by a real chef and this is. "I had always thought of Wood Tavern as a place to go for special occasions but they have been saving my sanity since shelter in place. Their quality is still top rate (unlike some of my other go-tos) and their portions are always plentiful. My favorites have been their soups (potato leek in particular) anything with their marinara or meatballs, pork chop (of course, their constant) and the Halibut I'm currently devouring. "I suggest you shelter in place with Perle Wine Bar! One item we order is most is their delicious French Onion Dip Angus Burgers! Different from any other burger, cooked to perfection, and oh so filling!! We usually have a half leftover for lunch the next day!" - Barbara M -
"I was so excited to get my to go order of sushi. After a couple of weeks of social distancing and avoiding the grocery store I was in need of some Truly delicious food. The takeout experience was awesome. I had a time given to me when no other people would be in the restaurant. The food was delivered to me with the proprietor wearing gloves and a mask. I have never had such delicious sushi. Each piece was notated. Some pieces were to be eaten without soy sauce, others with soy sauce and others with Yozu." - Linda G
