Varner is one of the largest fashion retailers in Northern Europe, with close to 8 500 employees. Our 1 200 stores represent us in five countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland. Varner is comprised of the concepts Bik Bok, Carlings, Cubus, Dressmann, Dressmann XL, Junkyard, Volt, and Levi’s Store. Frank Varner founded the privately owned family business in 1962, which is now led by the second and third generation, Petter, Marius, and Joakim Varner. Our company’s culture is exceedingly important – no matter where you work in Varner. Vem köper mest Fairtrade-bomull i världen? 🤔 Jo, det är norska Dressmann! I fjol köpte företaget över 500 ton Fairtrade-certifierad råbomull som blev till 1,3 miljoner t-shirtar, strumpor, kalsonger och jeans. Dressmann har sålt kläder i Fairtrade-bomull sedan 2017. “Att arbeta med Fairtrade ger en verklig och mätbar förändring på jordbruksnivå och har en positiv bidragande effekt på miljön i de regioner där Fairtrade-bomull produceras”, skriver Dressmann i sin hållbarhetsrapport. Dressmann har åtagit sig att all bomull ska vara 100 % "mer hållbar bomull" senast 2025. Mer hållbar bomull inkluderar bomull som köpts genom Better Cotton, Fairtrade-bomull, ekologiskt certifierad eller återvunnen bomull. Original Marines S.p.A., Turner Bianca, S.O.K/ Group, Sun Garden, tex idea GmbH and MPL Home are among the latest brands to sign the agreement, which focuses on enhancing workplace health and safety in the Pakistani textile and garment industry. Encouraged by this milestone, the International Accord invites all garment and textile brands and retailers sourcing from Pakistan to sign the agreement and contribute to a safer clothing industry.
