Make data table from CSV

The CSV, or “comma-separated-values” is a widely used format; It is lightweight, simple, can be generated by almost any software, and created manually by users. Het maken van tabellen en grafieken met een WordPress tabellen plugin is nog nooit zo eenvoudig geweest. Er zijn slechts 3 basisstappen nodig:

Stap 1 – Voorzie tabelgegevens

Je kan tabel gegevens voor WordPress tabellen door het uploaden van Excel, CSV, JSON, geneste JSON, XML of geserialiseerde PHP array of je zal een eenvoudige tabel maken vanaf nul met de nieuwe tabel bouwer.

Stap 2 – Aanpassen

You can customize and configure the columns of your WordPress table (rename, reorder, add CSS classes, add prefix or suffix, set visibility, hide on mobile or tablet, change colors, set text alignment for cells and header, sort) and also you can customize and configure table Color and Font settings( Font, Header, Table border, Row , Cell and Pagination) in any way you see fit.

All tables (except simple table) will become sortable and will have pagination, global search, display length and export table buttons by default. Global, individual and multiple columns sorting

wpDataTables can act as a sortable table plugin by supporting sorting for all the data types. Tables rendered by the wpDataTables plugin are sortable by default (except simple tables). Row grouping

If one column of your table contains similar values for many rows, it often makes sense to use it as a “group column”.This means it will not be displayed as a column, but its values will be used to group the rows.

Installatie

Installatie van de plugin is heel eenvoudig.

  1. Install using one of these options:
    • Install directly from WordPress Admin panel: go to Plugins -> Add New -> Search for “wpDataTables”, and click the Install button.
    • Download de ZIP handmatig uit de plugins repository van WordPress, en upload het via het WordPress beheerder paneel: ga naar Plugins -> Nieuwe toevoegen -> Upload Plugin, blader naar de gedownloade zip en upload het.
    • Download de ZIP, pak hem uit en upload de uitgepakte map handmatig via FTP naar de /wp-content/plugins/ map van je WordPress installatie.
  2. Activeer de plugin via het ‘Plugin’ menu in WordPress.
  3. Dat is het!

FAQ

Ik heb een tabel toegevoegd maar zie geen sortering, filtering of paginering

Meestal gebeurt dit wanneer PHP versie ouder dan 5.4 is geïnstalleerd. Controleer dit eerst, en upgrade naar PHP 5.4 of hoger, als dat het probleem is.

Hoe verberg je “Toont X van X ingaven” in paginering?

Ga naar het tabblad weergave van het blok tabelinstellingen en schakel de instelling “Infoblok” uit.

Hoe kan ik het openen van links in een pop-up uitschakelen/inschakelen?

Je kunt instellen hoe de links geopend worden door de “URL doel attribuut” schakelaar aan te zetten
In de gegevens tab van de kolominstellingen pop-up. Het is aan jou om voor elke URL-kolom te definiëren of je de link in een nieuwe of in dezelfde tab wilt laten openen.

Hoe kan ik het blok “Toon X ingaven” verbergen in de paginering?

Ga naar het tabblad weergave van het blok tabelinstellingen en schakel de instelling “Rijen per pagina” uit.

Hoe symbolen of tekst voor/na celwaarden toevoegen zonder de sortering te beïnvloeden (valuta, procenten, enz.)

Voor elke tabel kolom in de kolom instellingen modal kan je tekstvelden “Celinhoud prefix” en “Celinhoud suffix” vinden in de Weergave tab.
Waarden uit deze tekstvelden zullen verschijnen voor of/en na elke celinhoud in een kolom.
Deze functie gebruikt CSS voor het weergeven van de ingevoerde tekst, daarom zal het sorteren van de kolommen niet worden beïnvloed.

Hoe pas ik het format van de datums aan?

Datum formaat kan veranderd worden in wpDataTables instellingen pagina door gebruik te maken van het “Datum formaat” dropdown menu.

Hoe duizend- en decimaalscheidingstekens voor getallenkolommen wijzigen?

Dit kan gewijzigd worden in het “nummer formaat” dropdown menu op de wpDataTables instellingen pagina.

The most nerve wrecking plugin I have ever used

A horrible plugin. I have no words to describe the awfulness of the whole experience of making one simple change. There is no useful Import/Export feature. You have to upload files, but then when it reads the numbers wrong, you are not able to re-upload your sheets. No no, you have reformat your numbers in the sheet, manually change the format of each the columns (from float to a damn string), then copy and paste stuff from your sheet manually.It has taken me a whole day, of banging my head against the wall with this thing for one simple thing: Migrating my existing tables from my old website.Don’t even get me started with the Integer format, DEAR GOD. You format a column as an Integer, and all of a sudden you see decimals in your number. Do these people even know what an INTEGER is?For people who work with relatively large data ( ~1000 rows ) this plugin is an absolute nightmare. It’s so bad I was considering forefeiting my whole task.Wouldn’t reccommend it to my biggest foe.

Best soloution for tables

The plugin been amazing so far, it tick all the boxes we had and surprised me on how good its, and the support team are really helpful for as far as i dealt with them. Hopefully the next few months will keep this feeling up and the plugin will keep in improving.

Expensive and a lot of effort

4(!) Releases in 10 days – 4 times backup (server), dump MySQL, export WP XML, and tests of all functions in front- and backend.But incredible license costs for an error-prone package.
