For one of our women’s wear brands in Europe - Scotch & Soda -, we are currently seeking a talented and passionate experienced designer with a focus on women's wovens.

As an experienced Designer Womenswear (Soft wovens – Dresses, Tops and skirts) reporting to the Design Director for the Scotch & Soda brand, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our team of designers in the 'whole wovens' category. Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for fashion will contribute to the development of our women's wear collections.

The ideal candidate will have a confident design vision with a strong understanding of pattern cutting and garment construction, draping on the stand as well as more structured tailoring. They will lead the development of silhouette, fabric/ trims, building out concepts briefed by the Design Director, ensuring clear storytelling and themes fitting within the brand.

In our team, we prefer a friendly and collaborative environment over formal titles and hierarchies. While we're seeking individuals with extensive experience for the role of (Senior) Designer, we believe in flat hierarchy and teamwork. Therefore, regardless of your level of experience, you'll simply be known as a Designer. What You'll Do


  • Lead the design and development of high-quality products, demonstrating expertise in product and manufacturing techniques, a good understanding of pattern cutting and garment construction.
  • Independently manage and oversee the entire product category, from concept to completion, while providing guidance and feedback to other team members.
  • Take the lead in researching and selecting fabrics, ensuring an in-depth understanding of material properties and industry trends.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of market trends, consumer preferences, and industry competition.
  • Create and manage color cards, collaborating with the team to maintain a cohesive and trend-forward color palette.
  • Proactively contribute to the team's success by encouraging collaboration, sharing insights, and supporting group projects.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills by managing tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
  • Build and present inspiration boards, showcasing a keen sense of aesthetics and an ability to think ahead for both individual categories and the overall brand.


What You'll Have


  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (indicative 7+ years) in fashion design with a focus on product development and manufacturing.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful products and designs.
  • In-depth knowledge of fabrics, manufacturing processes, including patternmaking and garment construction, and industry trends.
  • Strong leadership and initiative-taking abilities, ability to give constructive feedback
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Bridge, and Adobe Photoshop to execute design tasks effectively.
