Experience on Cucumber and Automation Testing
Knowledge on advance SQL and Scala / Bigdata Technologies
Knowledge of Performance Testing, Gatling, Appdynamics, Grafana
AWS ECS, fargate, Lambda knowledge and knowhow
Good to have CI/CD, Gitlab, Gradle
What's the tech?
Being a backend focused team, Java is central to our estate.
We have a cloud first mindset using CDK as well as an in-house Kubernetes framework.
As such, there are plenty of opportunities to work on typescript, serverless, queues, gateways, and other AWS native solutions. CI/CD is part of our ethos as an engineering group.
We are focused on improving our technical estate to mature our services to recommended standards.
Currently we deploy services on cloud and prem both using AWS CDK and our in-house tools.
Some of the AWS tech we often use are S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Lambdas, API gateway.
Tester Role Description
More CI/CD oriented and work with the team on a day-to-day basis.
Involve from the product vision phase, provide inputs during design phase, guide team through best quality control procedure and practices, attend all team ceremonies.
Act as a quality gate of the team and ensure every ticket goes through testing before releasing in production.
Support the team with compliance procedures like collecting evidence, creating, & updating documentation, responding to multiple queries, liaising with different stakeholders, inspecting experiments & data.
This is not limited to the above activities, however, above is a flavor of the quality engineer role. With our scaling plans, we would like to ensure quality built in through automation.
Continuously spend effort & produce automated test suites fit for different quality strategies like smoke tests, pact tests etc.
Further scope of this role will be automation built in CI/CD pipeline for performance tests.
