TIP has an immediate opening for a paralegal to join its Legal & Compliance team which is part of the company’s Amsterdam Service Center (ASC).The successful candidate for this role will provide legal support to multiple subsidiaries that sell and market our products and services in Europe. This paralegal will work with the strategic account teams, controllership, business development, vice presidents, driving for scale across the region and the company. The team typically works 2-3 days per week in the office. The position reports to the Associate General Counsel, Compliance Leader and Data Protection Officer.ResponsibilitiesLegal Knowledge and SupportProactively supports attorneys and other department roles on routine and non-routine legal matters.Drafts, processes, and/or reviews legal and other documents (e.g., NDAs, shareholder and board resolutions, SPA/APAs, contracts, applications, IP/TMs) and correspondence for straightforward legal matters.Reviews business materials (e.g., marketing collateral, proposals, requests for proposals) and programs for compliance with applicable laws and TIP internal policies.Prepares budgetary reports and materials for department activities.Requests materials from attorneys, clients, third parties, outside counsel, and/or company personnel.Builds knowledge of TIP’s business, Legal and Corporate Affairs processes, and TIP policies.Drafts minutes, PowerPoints, and other communications to document completed work and maintain an audit trail.Litigation management.Other duties as assigned.Operational ExcellenceUses and maintains company tools, resources, databases, and processes related to one's practice area to efficiently achieve work objectives and recommends ways to improve efficiency.Evaluates and prioritizes one's own work based on the needs of the team and supervisor direction.Works in alignment with priorities established for practice group.Monitors timelines and schedules to ensure deadlines are met.Client CounselingMakes recommendations and provides support to clients on basic legal matters based on understanding of the client's business and subject matter.Participates in meetings with attorneys, business clients, and outside counsel as required.Prepares presentations and communicates with others across practice area to ensure consensus and a coordinated voice for client solutions.Supports the scale objectives of the team in developing solutions that enable clients to act towards achieving business objectives.Projects and InitiativesCollaborates on and demonstrates accountability for achieving project goals within practice group, and contributes to team projects outside of practice group.OtherEmbody TIP’s culture and valuesQualificationsRequired/Minimum QualificationsAssociate’s Degree AND a year's experience + in paralegal, legal administration, or relevant area.OR Associate’s Degree AND a year's experience + Masters Degree,OR multiple year's experience in paralegal, legal administration, or relevant area.Additional Or Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree AND multiple year's experience in paralegal, legal administration, or relevant area.Multiple years relevant in-house experience.TIP is an equal opportunity employer.
