Microsoft 365 specialist

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Microsoft 365 Engineer to join our IT team. In this role you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing our Microsoft 365 environment to support our business operations. We strive to stay ahead of the curve in IT innovation. Key about your role

You will be the go-to person for all things Microsoft 365, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You'll wear many hats, from managing devices with Intune and Autopilot to deploying robust security measures using Microsoft Defender. Your expertise in Active Directory and Azure AD will be crucial for user and access management, while your ability to design and implement Conditional Access policies will be a key asset in strengthening our security posture.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability;
• Configure and manage Intune and Autopilot for device management and deployment;
• Implement and maintain security measures using Microsoft Defender;
• Administer Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD) for user and access management;
• Design, implement, and manage Conditional Access policies to enhance security posture;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business and technical requirements;
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to enhance system stability;
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency;
• Ensure security best practices are followed and participate in security audits and compliance efforts;
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.

Key about your team

As a Microsoft 365 specialist you will be a part of an IT department that consists of 15 colleagues, spread across The Netherlands, Denmark and India. You will be operating and located at our office in Utrecht, but you will also work together with our Danish and Indian colleagues. At the Dutch office you will have six colleagues.

Together with these 15 colleagues, you play a crucial role in building and maintaining our IT environment that accommodates approximately 850 users spread across 4 countries who build and maintain 7 different applications. All with their own unique processes and tooling.

This results in a broad spectrum of IT resources full of challenges and opportunities. And within this IT melting pot you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge and skills to create robust environments, collaborate across departments or optimize digital workplaces and thus improve user experiences. Your ability to bridge the gap between IT and other teams will be essential to our success.

Key about you

Your problem-solving skills will be put to the test as you monitor system health with a keen analytical eye, troubleshoot issues, and develop automation scripts to streamline operations. As a security champion, you'll ensure best practices are followed and contribute to security audits and compliance efforts.

Additionally, you'll be a process-oriented thinker, constantly seeking ways to improve efficiency. This means you'll be a valuable resource for your colleagues, providing not just technical support but also guidance on how to optimize workflows and achieve continuous improvement.

Furthermore, we think it is important that you have:

• Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 Engineer or similar role;
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Intune, Autopilot, Defender, AD, AAD, and Conditional Access;
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and process improvement;
• Familiarity with hybrid environments integrating on-premises and cloud services;
• Understanding of virtualization technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure);
• Fluent in Dutch, both spoken and written.

Keylane offers

• A monthly gross salary between € 4,000 and € 5,500 based on 40 hours per week;
