As a global women’s fund, we are committed to strengthening our understanding of how we meet the needs of those we work with across the gender justice movement, to support them and the movements better. In our exploration of this process, we have drawn heavily from Deepa Iyer’s Social Change Ecosystem 📚 and her extensive mapping of movement roles. Following both in-depth conversations with a diverse range of Women Win partners and ongoing internal reflections, we have identified four key roles that we feel we currently hold: ✨resourcer, connector, space holder and cultivator.✨ Read more about how we show up in our roles in our Annual Report: annual-report.womenwin.org

We believe in a future where every girl and woman exercises their rights
Over ons
Founded in 2007, Women Win (WW) is a global multi-dimensional women’s fund guided by the vision of a future where every girl and woman* exercises their rights. With a global team based largely in the Netherlands, WW collaborates with diverse partners to increase the assets, access, voice, and agency of women and girls around the world. Our work focuses on investing in and providing support for a diverse global portfolio of partners. We also aim to influence a wide range of cross-sector stakeholders and broker unusual partnerships. Women Win works to advance girls’ and women’s rights amidst the scarce resources currently available for feminist movements. Our programmatic work is distributed across three “Brands” which all serve WW’s overall vision, but each with its own unique mission: ● GRLS: Advance the playing field that progresses gender equity in sport & through play; ● Win-Win Strategies: Connect the power of business with the deep assets of women’s funds and organisations to economically empower women; ● Ignita: Champion innovative funding strategies that channel resources to local human & gender rights activists, organisations & movements.

An ONSIDE Fund grantee ActivateHer was joined by H&M Move and Nadia Nadim on a school outing where it was all about empowering girls through sport! ⚽🤸🏿 ActivateHer provide girl-centric and multi-sports based programming to break down traditional gender barriers associated with sports and translate what is played on the field into education about leadership development, physical health and life skills. 🌱 Their founding director, Adele Bruggeman, comments: "The partnership with H&M Move is an incredible opportunity to introduce more girls to sport-for-development programming tailored to their needs. Alongside this, we see the expansion of our community-based coaching staff as a crucial step towards cultivating more female advocates for equity and health, who can make a lasting impact on the lives of girls and their communities." The partnership with ActivateHer forms part of H&M Move’s community programme, Move Together, which supports young people in experiencing all the benefits of moving together – physically, mentally and socially. This mission strongly resonates with H&M Move's Brand Mover, Nadia Nadim, who has transitioned from refugee status to international football player. To show her support for the partnership, Nadia travelled to Cape Town to partake in an ActivateHer school outing, and engage with the girls and coaches through motivational movement and leadership sessions. 📰 Read more https://lnkd.in/g3sjnmBk

Three years ago, the Universal Access Project joined a unique set of partners to co-create the Resilience Fund for Women in Global Value Chains, recognizing women's safety, bodily autonomy, and #SRHR as essential to long-term economic resilience. The Fund offers a new and innovative approach to corporate philanthropy: a first-of-its-kind pooled fund that features flexible giving, shared governance, and women-led, community-driven solutions. Today we celebrated the Fund’s third anniversary with many of our partners in New York and around the world, sharing our learnings from the women’s funds who have blazed the trail in trust-based, decolonized approaches to grantmaking, and looking ahead to the future of the Fund.
