Over ons
Established in 1988, TEFAF is widely regarded as the world’s pre-eminent organization for fine art, antiques, and design. TEFAF runs two Fairs internationally - TEFAF Maastricht, which covers 7,000 years of art history, and TEFAF New York, focused on modern and contemporary art & design. TEFAF gives international dealers the platform to present museum-quality works of all eras and genres to a broad base of collectors and connoisseurs. In addition to its annual TEFAF Maastricht fair in March at the MECC (Maastricht Exhibition & Congress Center) in the Netherlands, TEFAF expanded to the United States in October 2016. It presents an additional Fair - TEFAF New York - held in May, in the global art center, New York City. Maastricht: March 9-14, 2024.

In the world Mexico City-born artist Bosco Sodi has created, raw materials, such as found branches, volcanic rocks, and clay meet precious metals and an explosion of color. The artist likens his process to “controlled chaos,” preferring to use local materials whenever possible. Pigments collected from around the globe are mixed with water and sawdust sourced from the country where Sodi is working. “If you see the paintings I did in Berlin or Barcelona or Greece, they are all totally different from one another, even if using the same or similar pigments,” says the artist. The latest feature from TEFAF Stories immerses you in the vivid world of Bosco Sodi: https://bit.ly/3RJBHqJ Photo by Vincent Tullo.

“I found myself noticing parallels everywhere: Peter Stämpfli’s disembodied pop art hands in “Le Demi” (1964) and Raymond Hains’s ripped poster works are perfect neighbors to the Greek and Roman sculptural fragments at Charles Ede’s booth.”—Hyperallergic
