This week our very own Alan Kroeger will join a roundtable discussion with EMMA4EU on how to address key challenges and opportunities associated with #EUDR compliance. EMMA4EU is an initiative co-funded by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Programme that aims to foster EUDR implementation by uniting higher education institutions, vocational training organisations, businesses, and NGOs to establish an EU Alliance to train new professionals to transition to deforestation-free supply chains. We are proud to be recognised in Fairtrade's 2023 #AnnualReport for our impactful work in providing deforestation risk information to coffee and cocoa producers! 🌍🤝 Building on a successful pilot project in 2022, we are now supporting over 950 Fairtrade coffee and cocoa producer organisations, representing more than one million farmers, to meet the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requirements—free of charge to the producers. With our platform, producer organisations can analyse geolocation data for each of their members' farm plots. This data helps identify deforestation activity or risk, allowing these organisations to conduct comprehensive risk assessments and generate detailed reports for their buyers. Our collaboration with Fairtrade International is a powerful example of how Satelligence's technology drives positive change, promoting sustainability and transparency in global supply chains.
