My name is Merel, a Supply Chain Recruiter in the International Talent Acquisition team at Picnic. 👩💻 📞 My journey with Picnic began almost 8 years ago as a Runner at our very first Hub in Amersfoort. After 2 years of making our customers happy with their grocery deliveries, I stepped into the role of Area Promotion Manager, where I was responsible for organizing exciting events. We even had a bouncy castle at one of our food festivals! 🤩 In 2020 I joined the Junior Recruitment team where I hired our newest Shoppers and Runners in the Netherlands. After a year I made the move to my current position as a recruiter with a focus on Supply Chain & People positions. 🚚 What I appreciate most about my role is the diversity and the opportunity to work with a wide range of people. Talent Acquisition at Picnic is not just about finding and hiring new talent. It’s also about building relationships, strategically improving processes, and leveraging creativity to work on projects like our Fast Track to Leadership programs. By undertaking the Fast Track to Leadership project, I've provided fresh graduates with the opportunity to dive into the logistics world of Picnic. From Customer Service to Recipe Manager - Meet Jura Viergever! Hi! My name is Jura and I am a Recipe Manager in the International Recipe team at Picnic. 👩🍳 👋 I started at Picnic over 5 years ago in Customer Service. After 3 months I moved to the commercial team as the very first Trading Operator to help the Category Managers in any way possible. I had the opportunity to work across a range of categories, including Bakery, Personal Care, and Non-Food items, before eventually focusing on Vegetables, Fruits, and Ready Meals. 🥖 🍏 🍅 Last year I made the move to the expanding recipe team. If you look under the 'Koken' tab in the Picnic app 📱, you can find the real outcome of our work. As a recipe manager I help customers answer the question 'What do we eat tonight?'. I decide on the layout, choose from the recipes our recipe developers create, collaborate with copywriters & visual designers, and monitor sales to make necessary adjustments. My days are very versatile. One day I'm in Paris 🇫🇷 to work together with our French colleagues. The next day I'm at the office in Amsterdam 🇳🇱 cuddling our office dogs. Or I'm in the photo studio in Hilversum cooking new recipes 📸. I love witnessing the recipe team's journey from a simple idea within the commercial team to the creation of a Christmas magazine, and ultimately, to becoming a full-fledged team. That is exactly what Picnic is about. The fast-paced environment and hands-on mentally makes ideas a reality in a relatively short amount of time. 🎉 Would you like to join?
