Last week, we celebrated Pride across multiple NIBC offices with various activities. At our headquarters in The Hague, we enjoyed a vibrant and colorful atmosphere with Pride drinks, delicious food, drinks, and music. Colleagues had meaningful discussions using ‘conversation starters’ to share what Pride means to them, tell personal stories, and discuss how we, as a bank, can support minority groups year-round. As we wrap up this week, we are proud to reflect on our recent Diversity & Inclusion Event, where 50 of our female colleagues came together to share their thoughts on our company culture, development and retention. At NIBC, we believe in the importance of staying connected with our female colleagues and understanding their need for personal development. Through engaging discussions in smaller groups, participants shared their personal experiences and insights. One of the key takeaways? The value of quality time together. These moments not only strengthen our connections but also break down silos and build appreciation across the organisation. Thank you to everyone who participated for your openness and willingness. Last Friday we enjoyed our annual Sports Day, organised by NIBC's MyLeisure committee. Despite the rainy weather in the afternoon, we had a great event! Thanks to Be Event Group for organizing a competition between 23 teams on the beach of Scheveningen in a variety of games and thanks to Beachclub Boonoonoonoos for making sure that we had a wonderful location for our sports day, shelter from the rain, serving us drinks and preparing a delicious BBQ. During the Sports Day, the teams could earn points by shooting penalties into the goal that was purchased by NIBC MyLeisure and donated to the Dirk Kuyt Foundation. For the future, this goal can be re-used by the foundation on a playing field somewhere in the Netherlands where disabled children can play football with each other without a care in the world. We look forward to our next Sports Day in 2025! #ThinkYes

Our experienced Back Office employees of the Customer Contact Center Suraksha Kali and Sharon Sewgolam, have been awarded the PACE Recognition award for their outstanding work on a internal audit. Suraksha and Sharon demonstrated proactiveness and dedication by thoroughly preparing for the audit. They gathered evidence, conducted walkthroughs, and ensured all processes were well-documented. Their hard work ensured the audit ran smoothly and resulted in a positive outcome. We are proud of Suraksha and Sharon for their accomplishments. Their dedication, teamwork, and attention to detail were crucial to the success of the audit. As we wrap up this week, we're excited to share a recap of our Dragon's Den event, like the one we know from television. Leading up to the event, nearly 100 of our talented colleagues submitted 35 impressive AI ideas. From these, our AI experts selected 10 standout ideas to be presented to the Dragons: Anke Schlichting, Mauro Meeuws, Reinout van Riel, and Paulus de Wilt. Every idea brought immense value and showcased the high level of expertise, dedication, and teamwork of our colleagues. We look back on a wonderful PROVADA 2024! NIBC Bank was well represented by colleagues from both NIBC Commercial Real Estate and NIBC Vastgoed Hypotheek.
