🔋🧠 On Friday, June 28th, a dynamic gathering of entrepreneurs, researchers, and policymakers took place in Eindhoven to chart a collaborative roadmap for brain-inspired computing. With 60 attendees, the turnout underscored the community's commitment. The program included insightful talks, panel discussions, and breakout sessions on key topics such as promising applications and research impacts. 👩🏽💻 Sywert Brongersma, Director of Strategic Partnerships at imec at Holst Centre and event initiator, commented: “Successful partnerships start with strong connections among people, which was evident here. We must now build on this foundation, aligning timelines and interests across various disciplines and stakeholders.” A major highlight was the presentation of the whitepaper 'Neuromorphic Computing in the Netherlands,' which details the current landscape and stresses the importance of a unified strategy. The meeting concluded at the new 3EALITY Hub with a clear message: the collective realization of the importance of advancing this field together. 💪🏽 Organized by: imec the Netherlands, Universiteit Twente, University of Groningen, SURF, Radboud University High Tech Campus Eindhoven

Researchers at Holst Centre in Eindhoven are working on groundbreaking technologies that can remotely measure vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure with laser light. During the Innovation Day at the Evoluon, they presented a project that makes these measurements possible from, for example, a car seat, office or home. Maartje Hoogeveen and Jesse Kling expect this technology to be available in cars by 2030. The system could revolutionize health care by identifying problems early and easing the workload in hospitals.
