Since we started, our software has already been integrated in platforms across the Netherlands, UK, Denmark, and Spain! Their platform currently calculates the carbon intensity of the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) and gives users the option to power their nodes with renewable energy and compensate for carbon emissions.   𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘄𝗮 𝗔𝗣𝗜𝘀  Carbon Crowd uses Cawa's APIs to let clients and their users compensate for the footprint of their nodes on ICP. Carbon Crowd users are able to purchase fractional carbon credits via Cawa to compensate for just a few kilograms of carbon emissions. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 📉   A commonly used argument is that companies should focus all their attention on reducing emissions and maybe, in some distant future, look into offsetting. Sounds logical, as your own operations seems the first place to look for change.   However, recent Ecoystem Marketplace research suggests that 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. The report analyzed 7,415 companies and found that companies that offset emissions are: 🔹 1.8X more likely to be decarbonizing year-over-year; and 📉 🔹 The median voluntary credit buyer is investing 3X more in emission reduction efforts within their value chain.💰   Translating this research to Cawa's work with clients is quite easy: carbon offsetting puts a price on your emissions. 🏷   Your emissions are translated from an abstract 'tonnes of CO2' number into a real-world cost.
