Bilfinger drives Highview Power’s innovative storage project, accelerating the #energytransition. 🤝📈 Bilfinger collaborates with UK long duration #energy storage business Highview Power to pioneer the construction of the UK's first commercial liquid air energy storage facility, aimed at converting surplus electricity into liquid air for storage. #TeamBilfinger increases collaboration between regions to offer #efficient and #sustainable solutions to our customers.   Bilfinger Engineering offers solutions to help industrial companies achieve their sustainability targets. To introduce these #engineering services, Arjen Teunissen from region Belgium and the Netherlands (BeNe) visited Bilfinger in Herøya, Norway, to connect with potential customers.   Ole Ragnar Helgen from Bilfinger Nordic Region, who has an extensive network in Norway, introduced Arjen to several of our valued customers who have expressed interest to the solutions the engineering teams from Bilfinger can offer.   We have extensive experience with #hydrogen, especially hydrogen production facilities and storage. In addition, we have knowledge of and solutions for Carbon Capture, use of green hydrogen and CO2 for e-fuels. The days in Herøya show that there is high interest in the sustainable solutions we have to offer.

Last week was fruitful for our Business Excellence Development team, with Steve Hill, Corporate Products & Innovation Function Director for ME/US/UK, and Kashif Mushtaq, Business Excellence Manager ME, conducting customer visits in the Middle East, covering Yanbu, Dammam, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Jebel Ali. The purpose was to discuss Bilfinger's value propositions related to #sustainability, #netzero, and #energytransition. Throughout the week, the dynamic duo engaged in discussions with clients to understand their perspectives on #decarbonization in the process industry in the region and to assess how our integrated net zero approach solutions could help them achieve their #sustainable objectives. Bilfinger’s #netzero approach service offering was successfully initiated in Europe where plant manufacturers are seeking ways to achieve net-zero operations; our team of experts provides customized solutions worldwide to enable net-zero operation of plants and enhance sustainability performance.

🚀 Power Potential Program (3P) in the Business Unit Engineering from Bilfinger Region DACH. The Business Unit #Engineering is adept at implementing multidisciplinary projects. The interfaces of such projects are extremely important and the key to success 💡. To make the project interfaces almost invisible to our customers, we rely on a strong internal network 💪. We achieve this through: 👉 Regular exchange across locations, 👉 the clear definition of common goals and visions and 👉 team-building activities A few days ago, the Engineering 3P event took place in Bad-Dürkheim, Germany. Colleagues from various Bilfinger locations - from Schwarzheide, Oberhausen, Mainz, Ludwigshafen and Gersthofen to Paris and Lyon🌍 - took the opportunity to further sharpen and expand their skills and senses. #EngineeringExcellence 💪🌟

Happy 50th Anniversary Bilfinger Engineering Middle East. Marco van der Linden, Vice President of Engineering in the Middle East, expresses his appreciation and gratitude to his dedicated team for achieving this significant milestone. Director of Oil & Gas Wouter Naaijkens, Director of Infrastructure Muntasser Al Hashimi and Director of Management Consultancy Sourish Sengupta S. reflect on their growth journey within the Engineering Department. Starting in an office in Abu Dhabi in 1974, our engineering team has worked for the last 50 years on significant Oil and Gas and Infrastructure projects in the UAE. Our offices have expanded into multiple countries, including Qatar, Bahrain, and now Egypt. We now count over 1,000 colleagues, employees, and designers in the entire Middle East region. We proudly support operating companies and contractors with major engineering projects. Additionally, our region serves as the Global Product Center of Engineering within the Bilfinger Group. The memories and statements shared by our long-standing employees from their journey in the Engineering department are a testament to the pride and success we have achieved together. Last week we opened doors to students from high schools interested in engineering – as a part of “Echt! Praxe” Week. This event, where German companies across the Czech Republic are opening their doors to students, is organized in cooperation with AHK Tschechien / Česko-německá obchodní a průmyslová komora and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany (German Embassy Prague).   Our #TeamBilfinger has prepared an interesting and intense program that gave the students insights into wonders of the industrial construction, consultancy and engineering – with the focus on #efficiency and #sustainability. Business Unit Director in the Czech Republic, Tomas Kucera introduced our company and our values, David ANDEL and Viktor Mogylnyi prepared an engineering session including a 3D modeling and visualization; project manager Radek Stefan described what project management it and its phases and our #HRteam briefed the young future professionals on how to compose CV and prepare for a job interview. We had also a chance to welcome the German Embassy representatives at our Prague offices together with the students. Hendrik Bosscher recently returned to #TeamBilfinger and we are very excited to have him back. Alongside with the knowledge and skills gained during his first time at Bilfinger Engineering, he is returning with even more experience as a mechanical #engineer. “I left with a good feeling from my previous working period at Bilfinger Engineering. The size of the company and the opportunities to grow motivated me to come back. Also, the multidisciplinary projects we work on give everyone a chance to explore different disciplines and directions. This is what I am most looking forward to coming back as well.” When asked what would be a movie title representing his recent career outside Bilfinger, Hendrik named it simply as “Life of an engineer”. “To embrace a healthy work-life balance, I like to cycle to the office in Schiedam as much as possible. Apart from work, I always make time for regular exercise, including running and going to the gym. Additionally, I prioritize spending quality time with my family.” We want to give a warm welcome to Hendrik! We look forward to your contributions and success at Bilfinger Engineering!
