Biography

Jared Wadley covers various units affiliated with the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, as well as the School of Social Work, and Law School. He joined Michigan News in 2002 after spending 13 years as a small business, retail, tourism, and economic development reporter at The Press-Enterprise (Calif.) and Flint Journal (Mich.). He has a bachelor’s in journalism from Bowling Green State University, where he was inducted into the Kappa Tau Alpha Journalism Hall of Fame in 2019.

His U-M connection goes beyond work. As a volunteer, he proudly takes his collie Bree for pet therapy visits to U-M Mott Children’s Hospital and throughout campus for de-stressing events. She also serves as a Detroit Metropolitan Airport ambassador and American Red Cross volunteer.
