Installasjon

Den gode måten

  1. I ditt administrasjonsområde i WordPress går du til siden Legg til ny utvidelse
  2. Søk etter: advanced automatic updates
Klikk lenken for installasjon.

Den gamle måten

  1. Upload the plugin to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Aktiver utvidelsen gjennom menypunktet ‘Utvidelser’ i WordPress

The Living-On-The-Edge Way

(Please don’t do this in production, you will almost certainly break something!)

  1. Checkout the current development version from https://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/automatic-updater/trunk/
  2. Subscribe to the RSS feed to be notified of changes

FAQ

Why is the debug email going to the admin email address, instead of the override email address?

The debug email doesn’t provide a filter to allow changing the email address it’s being sent to. This will hopefully change in a future release of WordPress, you can follow progress in this ticket.

This is one of my favorite plugins. It is very simple and easy to use. I can only recommend it!

After I couldn’t get the popular Easy Updates Manager plugin working, I looked for an alternative, and then found Advanced Automatic Updates. The plugin perfectly works, and even updates premium themes’ plugins (not only WordPress.org plugins). Sadly the email update notifications doesn’t work just yet, and having a log of completed updates would also be useful.
