#OnRepeat

Hip-hop and R&B offer some of the most fluid, dynamic sounds today, true barometers for where the culture is at and where it’s going. This week, headlining #OnRepeat—a playlist chock-full of the hottest new songs we can’t seem to stop playing—is Jordan Adetunji’s “KEHLANI (slowed & reverb)”. As its title implies, this is an alternate version of a tune Adetunji released at normal speed earlier this year, one that ratchets up the original's sultriness while somehow tapping into the frantic energy of NYC drill. Adetunji, of course, hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland, but don’t be surprised if you hear this blasting out of cars double-parked on Harlem’s Frederick Douglass Boulevard for the rest of the summer. Listen to “KEHLANI (slowed & reverb)” on #OnRepeat, and if you hear something you like, add it to your library.
