My self-censoring attempt ended up highlighting for the whole room.

Apparently, most combinations of three or more non-letters after the @ symbol will work, including the original @#$£ or less imaginative @###, @$$$, @£££. @@@@ also works.

    This even alerts people in other rooms too. I thought I was going crazy hearing the notification sound, but not seeing any new messages in any room I was in.

The first one to trigger this bug actually was our CEO, with his very eloquent utterance

@!#$%^&*()_(*&^%$#@!@#$%^&*()(*&^$%#@!#$%^&*()(*&^%$#@!
