If we made decisions based on the worst possible usage / outcome, we would ban knives, cars and skydiving. The weird thing is, I believe that I agree with your position: It's overall MUCH harder now to differentiate block quotes [from unquoted text] now that they are not yellow. What something looks like when it is used incorrectly with improper formatting isn't really relevant, and we shouldn't be styling based on that use case. It should just be fixed in the post, and regardless what it looks like in this case, it still pushes a user to make that fix. They look nothing alike when used correctly with proper formatting. | |

Yes, if they're not directly next to each other, this may be somewhat confusing but it should be simple to open the edit window to see which is which. | |
