Years ago SE made this choice, it took half decade to make it surface to mods, another half-decade to make it surface to users. They have been sweeping the issue under the carpet for years, now a new broom is sweeping clean... Veteran users are not wanted or welcome any more, meta veterans especially so. They are a tiny proportion of the people who use the sites but take up a disproportionate amount of time because they have been encouraged to believe (incorrectly) they are important because of SO's highfalutin words about community. | |
