Agent Ymalay was a female Human member of the Federation's Department of Temporal Investigations who originated from a point in the future relative to the mid-23rd century.
In 2259, she appeared in the quarters of La'an Noonien-Singh after the latter returned to the USS Enterprise following a mission to the early 21st century where she saved the life of her ancestor, Khan Noonien Singh. Ymalay shared her thanks for completing the mission of Ymalay's fellow agent and correcting the timeline. She further warned Singh that she could not share her experiences with anyone else, including Captain Christopher Pike, before asking for the return of DTI equipment that Singh still had in her possession.
