Wendy Ruiz is a project manager at CBS Digital who started to work on Star Trek in 2006 for the remastered version of Star Trek: The Original Series. In the episode "The Menagerie, Part I", she was one of the Starfleet officers, who were digitally brought into the new matte painting.

In 2012, Ruiz started working in the capacity of Head of Mastering & Restoration for the remastered Star Trek: The Next Generation project. Also in 2012, she was interviewed for the TNG Season 1 Blu-ray special feature Energized! Taking The Next Generation to the Next Level.

Several characters in okudagrams of the remastered episodes were named after her including Wendy Ruiz Raymond in "The Neutral Zone", Wendy Ruiz in "The Outrageous Okona", and Wendy Ruiz in "Inheritance".

Ruiz attended the William Woods University in Columbia, Missouri and started to work for CBS Broadcasting as assistant and receptionist in 1997. In March 2000 she became project manager for CBS Digital. In this capacity, Ruiz worked on projects such as the action film Blast! (2004, with CG supervisor Niel Wray), the comedy A Cinderella Story (2004, with John Billingsley), Riding the Bullet (2004, alongside digital effects artist Niel Wray and digital compositor Nicki Kreitzman), and the television film Category 6: Day of Destruction (2004, also alongside Wray and Kreitzman). In 2012, Ruiz was the digital intermediate account executive on the animated comedy ParaNorman.
