A warp pod was a small warp-capable spacecraft utilized by the Terran Empire. It could hold at least two people.
The ISS Enterprise was equipped with at least one of these when it fled the mirror universe for the prime universe in the 23rd century. Unlike the ship's shuttles and escape pods, the warp pod remained onboard when the Enterprise was abandoned after getting stuck in interdimensional space through a wormhole in Tzenketh space. In 3191, after the Enterprise was pulled out of the wormhole, Moll and L'ak used a warp pod loaded with life support equipment from sickbay to escape the Enterprise. Although the USS Discovery attempted to lock a tractor beam on it, the pod jumped to warp before either ship could stop it. Commander Rayner promised to track the pod's warp signature and to put out an alert for it. (DIS: "Mirrors")
Moll later sent out a coded distress call on a courier channel, hoping for a courier to find and rescue them. Instead, the distress call was picked up by the USS Locherer which captured the warp pod in a tractor beam and called the Discovery to its location, finding L'ak to be barely still alive inside while Moll was dehydrated and half-starved.
