United Earth President[]

This politician served as President of United Earth in 3190. She was elected on a platform more inclusive than that of her immediate predecessor, inspired by the actions of Michael Burnham and the crew of the USS Discovery. (DIS: "...But to Connect")

During the evacuation of Earth due to the DMA, she stayed on the ground until the last possible second to aid in the evacuations. She later had United Earth rejoin the United Federation of Planets. (DIS: "Coming Home")

The United Earth president was played by Stacey Abrams.

Vance's family[]

Vance's wife []

Fleet Admiral Charles Vance's wife had once lived with Vance and their daughter at the Federation Headquarters space station, before it became too dangerous.

In discussing Michael Burnham's approach to problem solving, Vance mentioned his family and his intent to be reunited with them. (DIS: "That Hope Is You, Part 2")

Five months later, Vance's wife and daughter were aboard the station with Vance for the unveiling of the Archer Spacedock. (DIS: "Kobayashi Maru")
