The USS Ross (NCC-76710) was a Ross-class Federation starship in service to Starfleet during the early 25th century.

In 2401, the Ross joined a Starfleet armada coordinated by the Singularity to deflect a massive energy burst from a newly forming transwarp conduit. (PIC: "Farewell")

Later that year, the Ross participated in Frontier Day celebrations near Sol Station. Along with the rest of the fleet, it was seized by the Borg Collective after its younger crew were assimilated by a Borg signal transmitted via Jack Crusher. (PIC: "Vox")

Background information[]

The presence of this ship in "Farewell" was confirmed by Dave Blass. (citation needed • edit)

The ship was designed by Thomas Marrone for Clear Skies, a Star Trek Adventures RPG liveplay show [1] which debuted in 2020.

Not long thereafter, the name and registry of this ship (as NX-76710) first appeared in a developer blog entry for Star Trek Online, [2] where Marrone serves as art director.

Marrone identified the Ross as the prototype of its class. The ship and its class were named for Mary Golda Ross, the first known Native American female engineer, and the first female engineer in the history of Lockheed. [3]
