The following is a list of unnamed Type 8 shuttlecraft.

Voyager shuttles[]

Shuttle limping back to Voyager

This USS Voyager shuttlecraft was piloted by Tom Paris and Harry Kim during their clandestine visit to planet Banea in 2371. Due to the conflict between the Banea and Numiri, the shuttle was taken into the star system to avoid immediate detection by Numiri patrols. In explaining his arrival, Paris explained that "I hid behind the limb of the moon before I made a break for your defense perimeter. By the time their sensors picked us up, they didn't have a chance to catch us."

Following the arrest of Paris for the murder of Banean Doctor Tolen Ren, Harry Kim was forced to return to Voyager aboard it. At the time of his arrival he was injured, and the shuttle itself had damage to various subsystems. In order to return to Banea, Captain Kathryn Janeway opted to fly Voyage to the planet, as "the stakes are too high to send a shuttlecraft this time. I want to show our flag to make it clear we mean business."

Later, when it was suggested that Paris was to return to the Banean's custody, the shuttle was used as a decoy for the Numiri. It was tractored into the shuttlebay of a Numiri patrol vessel with the goal to capturing Paris and retrieving the information about Dr Ren's weapon research transplanted into Paris via a memory engram. After Janeway informed the Numiri captain that they had illegally seized Voyager's shuttlecraft, and she threatened to destroy his ship with the forty tons of thalmerite explosives that was loaded aboard the shuttle, enough to destroy their ship.

After the shuttlecraft was released, it was tractored back into Voyager's shuttlebay. (VOY: "Ex Post Facto")

For the sake of simplicity, this article assumes the same shuttle was used in both instances for this appearance. Additionally, while there was ample opportunity to give this shuttle a name in the episode's dialogue, Kim rather stated "shuttle to Voyager" upon hailing said vessel from said shuttle.
