Tig Notaro (born 24 March 1971; age 53) is an American stand-up comic, writer, radio contributor, and actress who plays Jett Reno in Star Trek: Discovery.

After her stand-up show Live (in which she announced she had cancer) brought her widespread acclaim, she became the subject of the Netflix documentary Tig. After she was diagnosed with life-threatening C. diff as well as bilateral breast cancer, and her mother dying all within a short space of time, the documentary deals with her recovery and her attempts to have children, as well as her burgeoning relationship with (her now wife) Stephanie Allynne, and return to stand-up comedy on the anniversary of such a ground-breaking show. Other stand-up shows Notaro has done include Boyish Girl Interrupted, and Happy To Be here, and in 2014 she performed topless, baring her mastectomy scars, at the New York Comedy Festival.

Notaro and Allyne have been married since 2015, and co-starred in and co-wrote the Amazon Prime sitcom One Mississippi, which ran for two seasons until 2017. Notaro has also appeared on Transparent, Fresh Off the Boat, Garfunkel and Oates, The Jim Gaffigan Show, The Office, and Community, starring Danny Pudi and Gillian Jacobs (in an episode where her friend Paul F. Tompkins also featured). She reunited with Jacobs in the 2014 film Walk of Shame. In 2021, her performance was digitally inserted in Army of the Dead, starring Ella Purnell.
