Talos II was the second planet in the Talos system, which was located in the Talos star group of the Alpha Quadrant.
In 2254, the position and orbital path of Talos II in an inner system map was displayed on the bridge of the USS Enterprise. The planet was located at 1.8 astronomical units from the binary stars Talos A and Talos B. (TOS: "The Cage", "The Menagerie, Part I", production art)

This planet's quadrant of origin is inferred based on the location of its sister planet Talos IV from the Star Trek: Discovery episode "If Memory Serves".
According to Star Trek: Star Charts (pp. 37 & 40), Talos II was classified as a H-class planet.
