on the Star Trek II directory placard, was he listed as "G. Roddenberry" or "Gene Roddenberry". Also, was his rank listed on the directory placard, the 1701-B plaque, or both? -- Captain M.K. Barteltalk 16:53, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

According to the dedication plaque, which I found on-line, "G. Roddenberry" is listed without rank under Starfleet Command. I don't know anything about the placard (just moved it from the other Gene Roddenberry page), but the info seems to suggest that the rank wasn't given there either. From the info it looks like the name "Gene" was provided, but I haven't seen the source. I'd say this article be moved to either "Gene Roddenberry (Starfleet)" or "G. Roddenberry (Starfleet)", with the other article(s) appropriately moved ("Gene Roddenberry (24th century admiral)" to "Gene Roddenberry (Admiral)" and "G. Roddenberry" to "G. Roddenberry (Captain)" (ADDENDUM: I mean "Gene Roddenberry (Captain)" should stay where it's at.--Tim Thomason 18:13, 6 March 2006 (UTC)).

These seem like good, intuitive changes to simplify the article titles, with the exception that the "Captain" version had a first name assigned. -- Captain M.K. Barteltalk 17:53, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Jesus, don't take this seriously. What's next, articles about the hamsters powering the Enterprise-D and the DC-3 inside? - Chris

In 2285, Gene Roddenberry was listed on a directory placard found on the 2nd level of Starfleet Academy's Starfleet Training Command. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)

He was not named on the directory placard. [1]Throwback (talk) 05:41, August 2, 2014 (UTC)
