Broken Sidebar[]

Some of the sidebar "links" are broken. Don't know how to fix it and no time to read manuals. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shh (talkcontribs).

The problem is repairing itself - a template call needs updating. It may take a little while to do so. -- Michael Warren | Talk 18:42, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Empok Nor Station[]

I was wondering why there would be an identical mining Station in the middle of nowhere? Wouldnt' it also be interesting to pull that station somehow to DS9 for having two stations guarding the wormhole? --BorGKing-alpha 10:16, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

The non-canon novels have them towing Empok Nor to the Bajor system to be used for spare parts for DS9. Please keep in mind that discussion on talk pages must be about the article itself, and not general discussion.--31dot 19:24, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Racial slurs[]

I was just wondering why a Federation officer calling a Cardassian a "Spoonhead" was such a big deal considering O'Brien used to call them Cardies. Is the latter not considered a slur? Chimeradave 02:34, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm curious as to what is the proper use of the term "race" or "racial" when referring to other species on this wiki. Is there a stated standard usage for the terms? Strictly speaking, the context of this section does not concern "racial" slurs. Granted, Star Trek has used different species as a metaphor for race relations and humankind can be referred to as the Human "race", but I wonder whether another term might be more appropriate here. ("specist"? "speciesist"? lol) Just a thought. 75.13.94.59 17:28, July 28, 2013 (UTC)

How they managed to contact DS9?[]

One thing which is bothering me.

How the survey team manage to contact DS9 if they were stranded on Empok Nor. The runabout was destoyed so they can't come back. Wasn't it explained in the episode? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Quaoar (talkcontribs).

Yes, and the episode summary in this article explains it as well. 31dot 22:54, May 8, 2012 (UTC)

What is the source for the stardate?[]

I have just finished watching this episode. There is no stardate mentioned. I checked the script. There4 is no stardatre there, either. So, what is the source for the stardate?Memphis77 (talk) 19:35, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
