Raal was a province on Vulcan located on the coast of the Voroth Sea. Its "clouded shores" were mentioned in "Falor's Journey" as where "old T'Para" offered truth to Falor. (VOY: "Innocence")
Spock spent some time with T'Pring in Raal in 2259 while the USS Enterprise was undergoing repairs. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds")
Although not visible onscreen, a framed certificate from the "Raal Institute For Interspecies Studies" belonging to Captain Philippa Georgiou was produced for Star Trek: Discovery. (SFX, issue 292, p. 84)
The DS9 game Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Dominion Wars features a Steamrunner-class starship called the USS Raal.
