In 2270, Captain James T. Kirk started to ask Montgomery Scott to send a work crew with power tools to open the door to the rec room, which was frozen shut. He was interrupted by his own uncontrollable laughter before he could tell Scotty where to send them.
Later, Scotty reported that due to an energy drain, the tools were useless, forcing him and his staff to try opening the door with crowbars instead. (TAS: "The Practical Joker")
