Pav was a female Trill in the late 32nd century. In 3189, she held the title of Leader of the Trillian government.
When the USS Discovery traveled to Trill in 3189, they made contact with Commissioner Vos who gathered Leader Pav and Guardian Xi to meet with a returning Trill symbiont and host. Upon finding the host, Adira Tal, was Human, and thus considered "an abomination" to some, Pav interpreted Trill law to demand Tal and Michael Burnham leave Trill.
After Tal and Xi were able to prove the viability of non-Trill hosts, Pav apologized for their earlier actions and asked to guide and mentor Tal herself. She further voiced appreciation for Burnham's efforts, suggesting that when the United Federation of Planets returns, Trill would be interested in further dialogue. (DIS: "Forget Me Not")
Later that year, Pav visited Federation Headquarters after the Trill rejoined the Federation. (DIS: "That Hope Is You, Part 2")
