Paula Andrea Placido (born 5 November) is an actress and visual artist who played a Palace soldier in the Star Trek: Picard second season episode "Penance".
She was born in the Dominican Republic to an Argentinian-Italian father and a Colombian mother and grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. She moved to Los Angeles in 2010, where she studied at the Aaron Speiser Acting Studio.
Her screen credits include guest appearances in series such as Shameless (with Dennis Cockrum), The Resident (with Bruce Greenwood), The Shrink Next Door, Hacks, and The L Word: Generation Q. She co-starred in the Christmas TV movie A Picture Perfect Holiday (2021) alongside Dina Meyer.
She also appeared in a large number of commercials and print ads, and also works as a photographer and visual artist.
