The Parliament class was a class of Federation starship that was in service during the late 24th century.

One of the ships of the class, the USS Vancouver, was said to be geared toward large, complex engineering projects. (LD: "Cupid's Errant Arrow") A second, the USS Toronto, was seen on a diplomatic mission to bring Ferenginar into the Federation. (LD: "Parth Ferengi's Heart Place")

Technical data[]

The class had a larger saucer section than the California-class and contained more advanced equipment.

Its design consisted of a saucer section with two warp nacelles mounted on pylons to the lower-aft sides and two primary impulse engines on the aft face of the saucer.

An underslung secondary hull with a front-facing navigational deflector rested just beneath the aft of the saucer, attached to the saucer with a pair of curved pylons.

Features in the Parliament class, not found on older classes such as the California-class, included fluidic processors that self-replicated their own silicas, thermal mesh with a double lattice, and tritanium hull brackets. (LD: "Cupid's Errant Arrow")

Interior design[]

The ship contained eleven decks per the master systems display. Uncommon among other Federation designs, the warp nacelle pylons also contained usable interior deck space instead of being simply functional for the structure of the spaceframe.

Parliament class shuttlebay

The main shuttlebay

The shuttlebay spanned Decks 6 and 7 with room for at least nine shuttlecraft and at least eighteen Argo-type ground vehicles stored on Decks 5 and 7 in and adjacent to the shuttlebay. (LD: "Cupid's Errant Arrow" MSD)
