The Omega system was an inhabited planetary system in the Beta Quadrant. This system included Holberg 917G, a small planet with two moons, purchased by Mr. Brack in 2239. (TOS: "Requiem for Methuselah")
The USS Enterprise visited the system in 2269, on stardate 5843.7, in order to obtain the ryetalyn from Holberg 917G that would combat the deadly Rigelian fever threatening its crew. (TOS: "Requiem for Methuselah")
In 2259, the location of this system was labeled on a stellar cartography chart that was seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. This system's symbol had a white color, indicating that it was a non-aligned system. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds", "Spock Amok")
In 2399, the system's location was labeled on a Federation star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters. This system was in or near to Federation space. (PIC: "Maps and Legends")

Background information[]
Based on the "The Explored Galaxy" star chart, there were two systems that shared the name Omega. The first system contained the planet Omega IV and the second, which was closer to Sol, contained the planet Holberg 917G.
Apocrypha[]
According to Star Trek Maps (p. 28) though, both planets were located in the same Omega system. Holberg 917G being the seventh planet and Omega IV the fourth.
