Marshal of France

Marshal of France was a supreme military rank in the country of France on Earth used during the 19th century in an operational capacity and during the 20th century in a more ceremonial role. The rank of Marshal of France was an exalted version of the already supreme rank of Marshal.

In 2364, Q appeared, wearing a French Army uniform, in the guise of a Marshal of France to which Captain Jean-Luc Picard replied: "A Marshal of France…ridiculous!" (TNG: "Hide And Q")
