Macaroni and cheese

Macaroni and cheese was a popular Earth dish consisting of pasta mixed with cheese, butter and milk. It can be topped with bread crumbs it is also oven baked. Elbow macaroni is the most common ingredient in macaroni and cheese.

In 2024, Benjamin Sisko got a plate of macaroni and cheese along with a slice of bread for Julian Bashir while they were in the Sanctuary District. (DS9: "Past Tense, Part I")

Macaroni and cheese was among several dishes that Tarquin served for Human Starfleet Ensign Hoshi Sato, shortly after she arrived on his planet. (ENT: "Exile")

According to an account that was anything but canon, the captain of the USS Enterprise confessed on how he would like to meet a woman that didn't judge him for eating mac and cheese and chicken fingers– a meal often deemed kid's food, despite his belief that grown ups could enjoy it too. A moment later, he turned to look to a console on the bridge and found such a woman, eating a bowl of macaroni and cheese, setting on a Risk. Unfortunately they never made a connection, because the ship was destroyed by disruptor blasts from D7 class Klingon battle cruisers. (VST: "Skin a Cat")

A macaroni and cheese recipe was also attempted by Neelix. He used an alien substance called brill cheese, made from schplict (grakel milk), that released a dangerous microbe into the life support systems, infecting a bio-neural gel pack with bacteria. (VOY: "Learning Curve")

Macaroni and cheese with a breaded top was one of Ensign Brad Boimler's favored dishes, which was one of the replicator programs only available to senior officers on the USS Cerritos. When the senior officers gifted the lower decks crew with a replicator updated with such programs in 2381, Boimler asked if it included the lobster mac and cheese version of the dish.
