The Lapeerians were a humanoid species native to the planet Lapeeria.
They had green skin, eyes with red pupils and yellow sclera, two small crests atop their heads, and two large fins on the sides of their faces.
In 2381, the Federation starships USS Archimedes and USS Cerritos were assigned a first contact mission to Lapeeria. Due to an unexpected incident that disabled the Archimedes, Captain Carol Freeman of the Cerritos conducted the first in-person contact with the Lapeerian leader. The Lapeerians revealed themselves to be a very casual people who were fond of alcohol. (LD: "First First Contact")
