Kyana Prime was the inhabited prime planet in its star system, located in Grid 005 in the Delta Quadrant. It was home to a remote Krenim colony during the 22nd century, where the temporal scientist Annorax and his wife lived.
In an alternate 2174, Annorax constructed a weapon ship in an attempt to return the Krenim Imperium to power by erasing its enemies from history. In his second temporal incursion, he accidentally eliminated the Kyana Prime colony, and with it his wife. Annorax proceeded to labor, without success, for the next two centuries to restore Kyana Prime and the Imperium. Not until 2374, when the weapon ship itself was erased from history due to the actions of USS Voyager, were Annorax and his wife restored to their original lives at the colony. According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 86), the Kyana system was a binary star system with a pair of Class K stars.
