Janet Kidder (born 11 January 1972; age 52) is an actress who played Osyraa in the third season of Star Trek: Discovery.
She is the niece of the late Margot Kidder.
She appeared in the CW's TV series, Arrow in its fourth season with Neal McDonough, portraying his character's wife, Ruvé Adams.
Kidder admitted that she was not familiar with Star Trek beyond Star Trek: The Original Series when she started with Discovery. She met with Jonathan Frakes (who directed her first episode, "The Sanctuary") who welcomed her to the Trek family. She feels that Trek is "not just a show, it’s part of an entire, impeccably crafted universe."[1]
