James "Jim" Menges (born 10 January 1951; age 73) is the actor who played a jogger in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Menges was a member of the Screen Extras Guild in the 1980s and worked as background actor on several feature films and series.
Besides acting, Menges was a prolific volleyball player and later volleyball coach who then worked as tournament director for the Association of Volleyball professionals. In 1976 and 1977, Menges became World Champion and in 1994 he was inducted into the CBVA Hall of Fame.
