"I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" was a 20th century Earth song.

The song was included on a "compilation of classics" created for Beverly Crusher by Jean-Luc Picard "in lieu of wine and roses." It was playing on the SS Eleos XII in 2401 when the ship was attacked by Vadic's Changeling cabal. (PIC: "The Next Generation")

"I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" was penned by Bennie Benjamin, Eddie Durham, Sol Marcus and Eddie Seiler in 1938. The version heard on Star Trek: Picard was recorded by The Ink Spots.

Selected lyrics[]

I don't want to set the world on fire
I just want to start a flame in your heart

In my heart, I have but one desire
And that one is you, no other will do

I've lost all ambition for worldly acclaim
I just want to be the one you love...
