Gluonic disruption

Gluonic disruption was a phenomenon which caused physical distortion in matter.

In 2381, the USS Titan underwent gluonic distortion after entering a spatial anomaly. (LD: "Strange Energies")

Gluons are elementary particles which act as the exchange particle for the strong force between quarks. Presumably gluonic disruption involves a weakening of the strong force.
