Scott Barry (born 22 July 1951; age 72) is an actor who was a regular background performer on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Barry mostly appeared as a Bajoran command officer. He received no credit for his appearances and was identified by the name tags of a costume and a belt which were sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1] [2] Barry also worked as stand-in on several episodes including standing-in for Philip Anglim in the third season's "Fascination" and appeared in Star Trek Generations and in the Star Trek: Voyager first season episode "Caretaker".

He appeared as a press technician in the comedy The Distinguished Gentleman (1992, with Victor Rivers, Noble Willingham, Gary Frank, Daniel Benzali, Julianna McCarthy, Dion Anderson, Gary Price, Lena Banks, Sam Alejan, Jim Portnoy, Gene Poe, Lou DeGrado, John Copage, Sherry O'Keefe, S. Reed, John Rice, Robert Buckingham, and Irving Ross) and as a detective in Alien Nation: The Udara Legacy (1996, with Eric Pierpoint, Gary Graham, Michele Scarabelli, Ron Fassler, Tim de Zarn, Jeff Allin, Josh Cruze, Juan Garcia, Kevin Grevioux, Bob Harks, Stuart Nixon, Cullen Chambers, Dan Rose, Ivy Borg, Gene Cross, Steve Diamond, Scott L. Schwartz, Gary Morgan, Denney Pierce, and Maria Kelly).

Barry played the Cadre team leader in Spartan (2004, with Steven Culp, Natalia Nogulich, Chino Binamo, David Paymer, Matt Malloy, and Max Daniels) and portrayed Billy, the bartender in Redbelt (2008, with Mike Genovese, Matt Malloy, and Gene LeBell). In addition he worked as stand-in on the Los Angeles unit for The Black Dahlia (2006) and worked as regular stand-in and photo double on The Shield (2002-2008, starring Michael Jace, Jay Karnes, and Benito Martinez).

Between 2005 and 2017, Barry worked as stand-in for lead actor David Boreanaz on Bones. In addition, he worked several times in the background of the series.

More recently Barry appeared in The Unit episode "The Last Nazi" (2009, with Abby Brammell and Benito Martinez), State of Play (2009, with Michael Jace and Trula M. Marcus), as a Wall Street trader in the drama Night in Bombay (2011), and as a liquor store clerk in the Fletcher Drive episode "Finding Squatch" (2012).
