Doug Hale (11 June 1940 – 25 April 2014; age 73) was the actor who voiced the computer in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

He is best known for his work in the sport drama Ali (2001, with Albert Hall, LeVar Burton, Bruce McGill, Victoria Dillard, Brad Greenquist, Wade Andrew Williams, William Utay, Michael Dorn, Greg Bronson, and Ray Uhler)

He died at home after a brief illness at the age of 73. [1]
